In the first two weeks of school, Rimu class has been learning and creating a visual mihi and learn how to say our mihi in Māori. This is our introduction to our class and community. Each visual mihi has 3 parts to it.

  1. A self portrait or a photo
  2. Places of significance to us
  3. Symbols or pictures the represent our culture

The mihi was fun and difficult to make.

  1. Tino Pai Rawa Katie. This is an excellent piece of work. I love how you state that you found it hard but you obviously persevered. The end result is well worth your hard work. I especially like the subtitles. Do you think the cartoons work? Keep up the great effort!
